Renting out property in Hurghada: plan realistically, not by promises

Rental income in Hurghada can work, but it needs location, equipment, photos, management and a realistic cost calculation.

Many buyers ask about rental before they buy. That is sensible, but the answer should be realistic. A property does not rent itself automatically just because it is in Hurghada.

The key factors are location, photos, equipment, internet, cleanliness, pool, beach proximity, check-in, guest communication and quick local help. Guests compare online within seconds.

Short-term rental can create higher income, but it needs more work. Cleaning, laundry, repairs, messages, reviews and platform rules must be organised.

Long-term rental is often calmer and more predictable, but usually brings less per night. It suits apartments with practical daily life, internet, shops and fair running costs.

A serious yield calculation includes vacancy, maintenance, electricity, water, internet, furniture replacement, cleaning, platform fees and management. Gross rent alone does not show the truth.

My advice: buy a property that still makes sense without perfect occupancy. If location, equipment and management are strong, rental can be a useful extra β€” but never a blind promise.
