Hurghada property viewing checklist before reservation
Before reserving, buyers should check the building, apartment, water, electricity, fees, documents and surroundings.
A viewing in Hurghada should be more than a quick walk-through. Photos show light and view, but not always humidity, noise, management or ongoing costs.
Start with the building. Check entrance, staircase, elevator, roof, corridors, cleanliness and visible damage. Ask who is responsible when something needs repair.
Inside the apartment, check water, electricity, air-conditioning, windows, doors, bathroom, kitchen and balcony. Test water pressure, lights, sockets and mobile reception.
Ask about service charges, open balances, utility connections, furniture and handover condition. What appears in photos is not automatically included in the price.
The surrounding area also matters. Visit at different times if possible. Check noise, parking, lighting, shops, distance to beach or pool and the general feeling in the building.
My advice: take notes and photos. Compare later with a calm mind. A property that still looks good after a practical checklist is much stronger than an emotional impulse purchase.
