  • Do i pay any yearly Property Taxes in Egypt?

    Yes, and it depends of the size of your property. Here you can find all information you need about the “Real Estate Tax” (in english).

  • Do I have to register the purchase and sales contract in court?

    This is not a mandatory procedure. However, we strongly recommend doing so as this gives you extended rights (for example, in the event of a dispute). The registration of a property in your name is an official confirmation, which is carried out by officials of the state. This process also takes considerably longer because the state will ensure that the property is legally registered and cannot be challenged. In addition, he (the state) checks the property retrospectively for possible errors or inconsistencies.

  • Do i need legal advice and guidance when buying from you?

    As in most parts of the world, legal advice is also recommended in Egypt. If you want, our company lawyer can help you for a fee. He reviews and checks that everything is correct and that all documents are in order before buying and selling. He then follows up throughout the process and keeps you informed.

  • Is what you are selling legally controlled?

    Before we offer something for sale (including purchase), our legal department reviews so that everything is correct and correct. Should it turn out that something is not right, we do not offer or invest in any business.

  • Is it possible to buy or sell a property with several owners (in equal or different shares?

    Yes, when you buy an apartment you can specify all of this in the contract. A person or company can hold one / or more shares. In addition, the proportions can also be of different sizes.

  • Is it possible to receive / send money for an apartment to a bank account?

    Yes, transfers or sending money to or from Egypt are possible in any amount and currency and it works very quickly. In 2020, cash payments for sums of this size have become more or less obsolete due to the modernized banking system.

  • Does it cost my anything to buy through Living Point?

    Our services are usually free of charge and we do not work with commission fees.

  • Is it possible to sell a property with several owners (sellers) from overseas?

    Yes, when you buy an apartment you can specify all of this in the contract. A person or company can hold one / or more shares. In addition, the proportions can also be of different sizes. To sell it, we need a PoA from all parties in the Contract.

  • How long will it take before my property can be sold?

    This depends on many factors and is difficult to answer. Inexpensive properties can usually be sold faster than expensive ones. Holiday periods also influence sales success as well a lot of other factors. In other words: We cannot answer this question either.

  • What are the fees if I want to sell my property through Living Point?

    We always agree on this individually, as the different properties require different expenses.

  • Do I have to pay any taxes in Egypt if I resell my property?

    Yes, 2.5% sales tax must be paid. If you wish, we can take care of the processing for you.

  • What i need to get a resident VISA?

    To get a resident VISA, you need the purchase contract of your unit OR a stamped rental contract (the owner of the apartment have to do this for you) , 2 pass photos and some copies of your passport (Page with your photo & last entry stamp page). To be 100% sure it’s best to check with your embassy.

  • How long can i stay in Egypt with a resident VISA?

  • How many days can i stay in Egypt with the tourist VISA?

    Usually 30 days, but it can various depending from which country you come from. To be 100% sure it’s best to check with your embassy.
